<image:title>The Stories - Blended…like a MOTHA (Jas) - Jasmine</image:title>
<image:caption>Have you ever met someone and wondered how in the world they were so freaking nice? That’s how I feel about Jas. This woman is literally one of the most kindhearted women you’ll ever met. She’s also a singer, wife and mother of 3, but you’d never guess she started out as a party of 2 with her plus one being her oldest daughter. So of course for part 2 of Blended…like a MOTHA, I wanted to know her story. Because 18 years later she and her husband are still looking at each other with those heart eyes and the kids ain’t never give half sibling vibes.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Stories - Blended….like a MOTHA (Cee) - Cierra</image:title>
<image:caption>Cierra's motherhood journey didnt start off the way she thought. Motherhood was always in the cards for her buttt just not the way it played out. But it's cool because 3 years of marriage and 3 kids later Cierra is a testament of what it looks like to be one of God’s favorites. She’s really quietly walking this blended life out (in some fire fits might I add) just showing us that He really ain’t play bout her, showing just how much he’ll redeem time. This is Blended like a MOTHA, pt. 1</image:caption>

<image:title>The Stories - Dress…like a MOTHA - Miczjhane</image:title>
<image:caption>New Years Day, 2021, I FaceTimed my cousin, he turned the phone and hit me with “this her”. And I mean LOOK AT HERRRR! Miczjhane Angelique. Her name alone sounds like THAT WOMAN. From the jump it's giving, something's different about her. Something bold. Something memorable. You can't see Nay and not see a fire fit ...ever. It's quite obvious that fashion is not just something she enjoys but that it's an extension of her self-expression. Now 2 kids and a husband later (she thought my cousin was cute or whatever so they got married), the owner of Ming Hause Magazine has new ideas around an old love. She refused to succumb to what society and culture said a mother should look like. She owns her identity with beauty and a fierceness that I admire. As I rediscover my identity and style and fall back in love with how I look and how I show up, who better to sit with than Nay to give some insight?</image:caption>

<image:caption>So ‘round 2019, this woman walks up to my classroom door to pick up her son looking BIG FINE! I mean locs were giving, the fit was *chefs kiss* and the BAWDY really made me wanna put the fork down. I’m not sure how we connected and became friends but however it happened I’m grateful! There was only one time I ain’t like sis, and it was when I was in her faith and fitness small group, The Lions Den. To be fair it was because she was making me do wall touches and I’ve since forgiven her for that. Wall touches aside, The Lions Den showed me how faith and fitness go hand in hand when it comes to B. As a wife & mother of 2, a lot has changed since we’ve met but one that has always been consistent is her love for God and passion for fitness. If you’re like me and tryna get ya bawdy in check…this is JUST for YOU!</image:caption>

<image:caption>One thing about ittttt….my girl WERKS! Robyn has been one of my closest friends (read best friend) since middle school. She is legit my only friend who knew since 10th grade, what she wanted to do and did exactly that. A Del State graduate, turned CSI, turned Biology teacher and now her and her husband,Terry own My Fab Florals and The Flor Space Venue in the DFW area. Mind you, along the way she also launched BeMore Curly and a Youtbe channel. When my girl sets her sights on something issa wrap. I honestly don’t think I realized how hard Robyn works until we became mothers. For part 2 of Werk like a MOTHA, we talked about her unexpected journey into the space of entrepreneurship.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Stories - Werk…like a MOTHA - Tiana</image:title>
<image:caption>Meet Tiana Burnett, my TT. When I turned 18 she told me I didn't have to call her Aunt Tiana anymore and that I could just call her Tiana. I nicely told her that I would NOT be doing that. I intended on staying in a child's place so she graduated to "TT". I spent many a day at her house, watching her walk through motherhood in her BEST corporate baddie attire. A few times she brought me and my sister with her to work and to this day I still can't tell you what she did. All I know is she was an executive of some sort. She was the first woman in my life that I can recall being in a position mainly held by white men...and now she owns a Smoothie King with her husband, Ro, something she’s been wanting since 18! She's STILL werking like a MOTHA!</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you gon talk about a woman with faith you HAVEEE to talk about STEPH! I mean the queen of "I trust God"...like she has the GIFT of faith. She’s just "its gon be alright" 99.9% of the time meanwhile I'm over here trying to build this muscle for dear life. It's truly hard to know Steph and not know faith. You see one, you see the other. She's admitted that throughout her motherhood journey, her faith has stretched in many ways. From selling a house in the middle of a pandemic, believing for a homebirth (enter how we met), navigating single motherhood, quitting her job in the midst of Covid, launching ‘See Me Well ‘ (a faith-based foundation for young women) and trusting God through an unexpected health challenge with her son. If there’s a woman qualified to talk about how faith and identity intersect it’s Stephanie.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Stories - Love…like a MOTHA - Ja’Nice</image:title>
<image:caption>I consider myself to have had a really blessed childhood for many reasons. One of the biggest is because never, not once, did I ever feel like I wasn't loved by my mother. Now there were MANY times that I knew we didn't like each other (insert those teenage years) but not a day when I didn't feel loved. From the family Valentine's Day extravaganzas, living room campouts, my mother being at EVERY SINGLE dance performance from middle school to college and, supporting every dream I've had, I knew I was loved. Influenced by the love and guidance of her mothers (my grandmothers and a family friend) my mother aimed to replicate the love she saw- and she's done it wonderfully. On this journey to rediscover my footing as a woman who happens to be a mother, I talked to her about what it means to her to Love…like a MOTHA, here's some of that conversation.</image:caption>
